Sapphire Eyes
Epilogue: “It’s Become Tradition.”
By: Liewe
Standard disclaimers apply, Yanisha is the only personality I claim to own, and even then she is based on my late Great Aunt.
AN: *sniff* it’s over! Well this part, I may do a sequel, I have a plan, but what do you guys think?

Noin glanced to the dessert sky as she heard the hum of the helicopter approaching, a slow smile crept across her face as she bent to pick up her briefcase. Her navy suit sans jacket looked out of place in the desert atmosphere, but it was perfect for her current destination. The Peacecraft Mansion.
"Mistress Lucrezia, Master Quatre will follow you as soon as possible," Rashid said over the roar of the helicopter, as he opened the door for the smiling Noin.
"Thank you Rashid," she said in passing as she secured her lap belt and nodded to the pilot. Rashid waved as he stepped away, crouching to avoid the rotor blades.
They lifted off into the blue sky, the dunes of the desert falling away from view as they climbed higher and higher. Noin sighed as she leaned back in her leather seat, her eyes closing as she thought of the past few months. Life had changed so much in such a short time, things were rather unbelievable. She was engaged, she was happy, and she was loved. She had friends, and what could count as family in the Winners. She was content.
Now she was speeding away from her desert sanctuary to attend the apparently annual picnic held at Relena's home, an event she had always missed. She was being given the opportunity to see all her old comrades from the war, and the Princess she had protected with her life at Zechs request.
"Wake me when we get there," Noin said sleepily as she closed her eyes and allowed the constant whir of the rotor along with the rocking motion of the helicopter to lull her to sleep.

Milliardo laughed as Relena tried to reach a tree branch, hovering a few feet above her heard.
"Let me get it," he offered, his eyes sparkling with mirth as he stretched to grab the offending tree limb, and pulling it down so Relena could attach the streamers.
"Thank you," she huffed, falling back as the tree limb shot up once released from Milliardo's grasp.
"Do you do this every year?"
"It's become a tradition," Relena said softly, turning to impulsively hug her older brother, decorum thrown out the window for the day. With a chuckle he ruffled her hair, before turning back to the decorations heaped on the table behind him.
"Where would you like this," he asked holding up a questionable looking banner.
"Um, ask Pagan, he usually does that part of it, Heero and Duo usually disappear before they're roped into helping," Relena said with a shrug.
"I wish I'd have known..."
"Hey!"
"Nothing," Milliardo replied softly, with a smile on his features, he was only joking with her, this was giving him a chance to spend time with the real Relena, not the politician.
She'll be here soon, he thought with a smile. Everyone will be here soon.
