Fun Fun Fun

set in the '60's

"Dad!" Hilde called as she walked through the house. She looked at her watch. She had to hurry. "DAAAAAAAAD!" She heard the muffled sound of her dad in the garage. Her mom wasn't home from the dentist’s office where she worked.

She entered the garage to see her dad on the floor looking at the motorcycle he had bought for her brother.

"Dad, I need the car tonight. I have to go to the library."

"what about your friend, uh...... what's her name?"
"You mean Relena, Dad?"

"Yeah, her."
"She can't . Her's is in the shop."
Her dad looked up at her as he dug in his pocket for the keys. "You be careful. Mom will want you home by 6. Don't forget!"
He grinned as he watched her walk away. "Library, my ass."

Hilde pulled up in front of Relena's and honked. Relena peeked out the window and flung open the door.

"Mom! It's Hilde and we're going to the library! See ya later!"
Relena dashed out of the house and climbed into the T-bird. "OH MY GOD! You got it!!!!"
"First things first...NO LIBRARY! Now, on to the hamburger stand and see if the guys are there?"

She drove through the hamburger stand , listening for all the calls. As she made a second pass she saw what or rather who she was looking for.

Duo Stood up in his car and waved. Heero slumped down farther in his seat.

Hilde waved at duo and blew him a kiss. Relena dropped down almost to the floor boards.

"She muttered, "If I knew you were going to seek out those two boys, I'd stayed home."
"Aw Relena, Heero likes you, he's just shy!"
"No, shy has nothing to do with it! He's..... He's.... an ass!"
"Oh, let's just enjoy the day."
She leaned over and cranked up the radio. she pulled out of the hamburger shop and started to cruise the main drag.

The following week at school:

Hilde walked past several of the girls. They stared at her then started to talk amonst themselves.

"God ,I hate her."

"Yeah, She thinks she's so cool."
"Did you guys hear that she drove the half mile in 3.5 seconds!"

"And she beat Billy Brandson at his own game."
"Good thing they weren't racing for pink slips."

Hilde revved the motor and waited for the light to change. A couple of guys pulled up beside her and one was behind her.

She grinned. When the light changed she floored it and left them in the dust. She laughed as she disappeared around the corner.

Hilde’s dad was waiting for her when she came home. "Keys, young lady."

Her mother was standing in the background wringing her hands.

"I think you will loose the car for a while, at least until you learn responablity.

Hilde hung her head and handed her keys. "Damn " She muttered as she went to her room.

"Hey, Hilde! Where's the T-bird?" Duo hollered as he saw her walking to school. He pulled up beside her and looked at her face. "Aw, Hilde, he caught you, hun? "
He opened the door and let her climb in. "You can hang with me, babe."

He pulled away from the curb, he looked over at her, " Hilde, would you be my girl? I've dieing to ask you out for weeks. Would ya?"
She grinned and said, "Yes...... But..."
"But what, " Duo asked, warily.

"Let me drive you car!"
He grinned at her, "Anything you want, babe! Anything you want!"
Hilde scooted next to him and he wrapped his arm around her. He leaned in and looked at her.

She leaned up and brushed his lips with her. Then she sat back and giggled at his shocked look.

Then he leaned back and grinned.
This was the beginning of a beautiful relationship!!!!
