A SECOND TIME FOR LOVE
by:sereace
CHAPTER VI

Heero Yuy stalked out of his room, murder in his eyes. That statement was reverend. No one, and NO ONE was
allowed to use that statement unless she was in grave danger. /Unless Duo failed to keep his promise...live
by his word../ He staggered down to the basement of their condo-unit--he still refused to accept she left
him--and entered the room. Feeling for the light switch he knew was somewhere to the right of the door,
he realized how long ago it was that he entered that part of the house. Taking in the muddy scent of the
room, he descended on the stairs as each step he took produced a small creak from the wooden floor beneath
him.

Finally, after careful treading through the things he had forgotten he had, he reached intended
destination. He moved a covered upholstery aside and again felt for the switch...a low rumbling echoed
through out the small room and he felt the floor under him give away. As fast as it happened, he now found
himself inside an escalator he hasn't used in quite some time. His stomach slightly lurched when his mode
of transport skidded to a stop, but he ignored it. He stopped at the control panel beside a big, steel wall.
Closer inspection would prove the wall to be gundanium. He bit his right thumb until blood came
out, and he let his blood drop at the small opening beside a touch screen. The screen came to life in a
luminous green light, and a mechanical voice welcomed him.

"DNA confirmed. Heero Yuy, pilot of Gundam Zero Wing." The door opened when he pressed the "open"
command, and he had to re-evaluate his surroundings After all, he hasn't seen this facility in 7 months.
He took the one step that brought him back to his past--he was now in an underground warehouse that was
ideally transformed into a hanger for the supposed destroyed Gundams. Relena herself had had a hand in
this when she agreed to the proposed idea that the Gundams should not be destroyed. It was all before
they had lived together, and way, way in the past when they got married. He stopped walking when he came in
right in front of Wing Zero. The last time he was in there...he was with her...and they had made love in it
so passionately that Heero felt he was going to burst with need. Need for her love, for her, and anything
and everything that concerns her... He shook his head.

"We're not gonna get any work done if I keep on thinking about her, ne, Zero?" The gigantic machine
just stood there and stared back with what seemed to Heero a "please-take- pity-me-I'm-just-a-Gundam!-look.
He chuckled as he kept his desire to himself. Grabbing a chair to sit down, he connected all the necessary
wires and cables and turned on the necessary switches for his mission. He didn't pay attention when the
security cam caught the figure of the obviously as pissed, if not more than, as him.

[Right above the hanger...]
Milliardo pressed the same button the Heero Yuy pressed only minutes ago. The escalator appeared in
seconds, and he let himself in. He was fuming, and he was ready to blow to Pluto any minute now. /Why is
Heero, of all people, informed that MY sister is in some sort of danger--again--while I, her BROTHER, for
St. Pete's sake, am left in the dark about it?!!??/

His face was red with anger, and his hands was shaking so bad that he had to bite his tongue to keep himself
from killing his sister's ex-husband. /Hopefully soon-to-be ex-husband./ His arriving to the
destination was announced when he felt his stomach swan-dive from the abrupt stop. "I have to get Une fix
that." he murmured to himself as he placed a hand on his stomach. He walked towards the control panel, bit
his left thumb until he tasted blood, and dropped it where the Perfect Soldier had. "DNA confirmed. Zechs
Marquise, pilot of Gundam Epyon." Zechs grunted at the mechanical voice as it welcomed him to hell itself.
The door opened almost immediately, and he entered the now-functioning hanger of the demons of the past, all
gods of death in their own way.

Heero heard the door open, but he made no move to welcome the new-comer. He just continued typing away.

Milliardo approached Heero, his boots' heels making quite a sound with every step he makes. He had his gun
but he forgot to retrieve his sword when he had fled from the suicidal pilot's bedroom. He stopped when he
reached where Epyon was resting, and leaned on its left foot.

The computer's screen flashed his awaited information, when the footsteps stopped. He smirked, then stood up,
opened the drive and grabbed the microchip. He went to go to the locker room, and passed Zechs' way. He heard
the Lighting Count smirk. Heero continued walking, and Zechs felt it was his time to give the Perfect Soldier
a piece of his mind. "Heero."

Heero turned at the speaker as he pressed the enter in the touch screen. He leaned beside the panel, as his most formidable foe
made his way towards him. He closed his eyes, smiling to himself, as he anticipated the first blow.

Milliardo's gaze never left Heero's face. /He knows. He knows I'm pissed!!/ He clenched and unclenched his
fists on his sides, as he tried to regain control of himself. He raised his right fist, intent on hitting
the other man, but just as it was to land, he saw blonde hair and blue eyes brimming with tears, her
face sad. Zechs closed his eyes, and his fist landed right beside the Heero's face. /Dammit, Relena! Why
couldn't you choose another man? I'd settle for any other pilot, but you chose Heero, for the angel of
god's sake!!/ When he opened his eyes, Nile blue eyes met Prussian blue ones, and the latter wore a wry
smile. This was the last straw to the patience of the former leader of Fang. /And damn, he has the decency
to smirk!! Shoulda just blocked Relena's face.../ He turned on his heel, every muscle tense. He felt no
movement behind him, but his instincts tell him to be wary.

Heero could be as well grinning. /Well, Zechs, didn't say I didn't give you a chance./ Just as he was about
to make the first step towards the obviously infuriated older blond-haired man, he felt some sort
of presence around him. He let his eyes roam around the room, and his gaze rested at the back of his
nemesis. /He feels it, too. It's not just me./

He could feel it. Milliardo could feel it, and he couldn't help but be shaken of the feeling. /He's
here, I know it, and I can't see it./ At the corner of his eyes, he saw the supposed to be invincible Perfect
Soldier just as bothered as he is. /Well, well, well...lookie here. So it's not just me, eh, Yuy?
That's good to know. At least, I know my capabilities aren't disintegrating...yet./ He wasn't sure just how
long they plan on standing there, but he was sure that he was going to need all the patience in the universe
to stand in the same room where Heero Yuy is.

He sat comfortably on the neck of Gundam Sandrock. His shadow was undetected, all thanks to the mobile suit's
elaborate designs. He mentally patted himself on the back. /Congratulations. You are now successfully
deluding the 6th sense for spies of two of the Legendary Soldiers of our time./ He watched as the two
men in the life of his master's woman work in synchronization. They were both masterpieces of those
who trained them, and he slightly marveled at himself for staying hidden and untraced for as long as he has.
/Though I doubt if I could remain here forever, untraced./ His eyes narrowed when he noticed the
sudden change in the atmosphere of the two knights in shining armor of Relena Peacecraft. /They seem to
be...working together.../ Beads of perspiration started to form on his forehead as he tried to imagine
what kind of torture he would have to go through if caught. /I can as well be damned to stay in hell for
the rest of eternity rather than face their wrath./ One brother was enough, but add a lover?! Not to
mention the reputation they have! /Phillippe must really be crazy for the woman, I mean who wouldn't be,
but hey, can't he at least choose a woman who doesn't have the Perfect Soldier for a lover, and the Lighting
Count for a brother, for Heaven's sakes!! It's like proclaiming war against the Gundams with you having no
mobile suits at all!!!/

His eyes widened when he saw the Perfect Soldier pulling out a gun. /Damn, where
does he hide that mother fucking gun?!!? It wasn't where it was before!! Or wherever it was before./ His
breath began to speed up as it was raised in arm's length, pointing at no specific space. He tried to be
as still as possible, no breathing and all, and his brows twitched together in deep thought when the
Perfect Soldier prepared to shoot at empty space. It was far from his position, across from him,
actually, but he still didn't want to dare breathe. When the Perfect Soldier fired, he actually let out a deep
breath, and that was his mistake. He knew there was bait, but he couldn't figure it out. /They should've
known by now that I'm a professional, they won't try the oldest trick in the book, would they?/ It was his
last coherent thought when he thought he felt a mosquito bite at his neck. He fell down in seconds
into the waiting floor with a small thud.

Heero Yuy almost kissed his gun. /Still hasn't lost our touch, ne, my dear old friend?/ He caught the
appraising look of Zechs, and he just shrugged. He made his way toward the spy, and heard the older man
again smirk. He turned and faced the grinning face of Milliardo Peacecraft. What escaped the lips of his
nemesis was one thing he would never forget his entire life.

"Oldest trick from the book, retouched by Heero Yuy. Not bad." In quite a shocked form of response, he
just shrugged his shoulders and uncannily made his way towards the fallen spy. He watched as Heero bent over
to inspect the spy, as he reached for his cellular and informed Lady Une that an unexpected visitor had been
caught in the officially non-existent hanger under the home of the Prime Minister. He asked permission that
all Gundam Pilots hold a meeting in the place as soon as possible. Lady Une gave him the permission. Within
seconds, the message had reached the pilots. He helped Heero Yuy haul the enemy into a nearby stool and strap
him in until he doubted if the latter could still breathe.

"That ought to do it. Now we wait for the others." He strode for the other chair near the scythe
of The God of Death. Heero looked up from his position to meet the eyes of Zechs, his own ones questioning.
"The others." he simply stated. The former only nodded his head as he murmured while he toyed with the gold
band on his left ring finger. "they should be here shortly." With that, the Lightning Count made himself
comfortable and began playing solitaire with the computer. The Perfect Soldier made his way to Zero and
slept in the cockpit.
